Personal Summary

In 1990, Doug Ortman, D.C., was awarded the South Dakota Chiropractor of the Year award. In our opinion? He’s been a winner every year since his start at the Ortman Clinic in 1976. Dr. Doug attended South Dakota State University and then achieved his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at National College of Chiropractic (Lombardi, IL). Certified by the South Dakota Board of Chiropractic Examiners and a Diplomate in Orthopedics and Neurology, Doug
Ortman, D.C. has brought a functional approach to medicine and diagnosis to the Ortman Clinic to better manage a wide range of health issues that we commonly see with our patients.

When he isn’t treating patients at the Ortman Clinic, Dr. Doug takes advantage of South Dakota’s great hunting, fishing and biking trails. He’s also an astronomy hobbyist that brings his love of the universe to all members of his family, including his wife Leann and their six children: Danae, Dawn, Derrick, Diandra, Shelby, and Micah. Together, he and his wife have opened their home up to many foster children and are a true source of positive light and energy in the Canistota community.
